MISSION
Summer Stars Camp for the Performing Arts provides high quality, engaging arts programming, which transforms the lives of our 12-17 year old campers from economically disadvantaged families, by giving them the opportunity to discover themselves and their unique potential through the arts.
We believe that success breeds success – helping a child to take creative risks, work hard, and succeed teaches them what success looks and feels like.
Our Summer camp is supported entirely by donors and provided to campers at at no charge.
The Camp Experience:
During our 9-day intensive program, 150 campers come together in a stunning rural Massachusetts setting, guided by performing arts teachers and professionals in the field.
On the last night of camp, their training comes together in a 90-minute show in front of 500 guests in a state-of the-art theater.
Summer Stars also provides leadership training for alumni campers, college jobs as counselors and teaching assistants, and teacher training to share our unique teaching methodology.

Summer Stars is always 100% free to all participants. There are no costs for transportation, meals, lodging or any of our program.

The Program
Founded in 2000, Summer Stars’ flagship program is a 9 day camp that brings together underserved students ages 12-17 with a talented staff of performers, counselors, and guest artists. Summer Stars Camp is often the first time these young people have a chance to discover their own talents, learn to express their own voices, and be taken seriously.
